SWFAA Volunteers of the Year Honored at FAA Conference

This year's Florida Apartment Association Education Conference & Trade Show, "ILLUMINATE" at Waldorf Astoria's beautifuel Boca Resort & Beach Club has come to an end.  As always, the team at FAA put together a five-star experience with great speakers, including Johnny "Cupcakes" Earl and others.  The trade show was fantastic hosting many SWFAA Supplier Members with great themed booths.  Hundreds of attendees also enjoyed the All-Hands-On-Deck APAC Fundrasier party cruise on a luxury yacht on the Intercoastal.

However, the highlight of the conference for SWFAA was the honor to present awards to our 2018 FAA Volunteers of the Year at the closing celebration.  CONGRATULATIONS TO:

Carla Brooks- Carlisle Management 

Carla's contributions to the Association this year have been marked by the following leadership roles:
● 2018 SWFAA Secretary
● 2018 SWFAA Education Committee Chair
● 2018 SWFAA Charity Auction Chair
● 2018 SWFAA FAA Delegate
● October 2017 Leadership Lyceum Graduate
In addition, Carla consistently promotes SWFAA membership and markets & attends all events.  We are proud to announce Carla Brooks as our 2018 FAA Management (Property) Volunteer of the Year for her commitment both to our industry and the Association. 

Laura Policy- Apartment Building & Temporary Services (ABT)

Laura Policy takes her education volunteer position to the next level not only by instructing, but also by proactively researching and sharing ideas on new classes, instructors, and venues. Laura currentlY contributes to the following SWFAA initiatives:
● 2018 SWFAA Education Committee Co-Chair
● 2018 SWFAA Hot Topic Instructor
● NAA Certified Instructor
● Contributor to SWFAA's ongoing Microburst e-Learning Program (facilitated by Wesley Aleshire)

In addition, Laura is our "feet-on-the-street" promoting SWFAA membership and event attendance. It is with pleasure that we present Laura Policy as our 2018 FAA Associate (Supplier) Volunteer of the Year!
